Women At The Helm

Women at the Helm

Ok ladies, whether you are the Captain of your own boat or the First Mate, confidence in boating is important. Many highly qualified women stand proudly at the helm of their own boats, or even operate vessels as Captains and we applaud them! But the real truth is, more often than not, women have some level of hesitation when asked if they will operate the boat. Sure, operating the boat out in the open is no big deal, but what about docking? Or maneuvering in tight spaces? Or crowded waters? You never know when a situation may arise that you need to step up to the helm. Be prepared and fear not! We’re here to help by giving you the tools to take that helm confidently and proudly!

Right from the start, our Team will provide the support to new boaters and those needing a little refresher before getting out there on the water.

We will focus on:

  • Boating Terms and Phrases
  • Rules of the Water
  • Regulations - Fed and State
  • Boating Etiquette
  • Safety
  • Line Handling
  • Docking
  • Boat Operation
  • And so much more!

Yes, men outnumber women when it comes to registered boat owners, but statistics are beginning to show the number of women purchasing their own boats is steadily increasing. They are giving boat ownership a try and we are here to help make the boat ownership experience a very positive one.

Life on the water is like nothing else!
